Chanoyu Artifacts

Chanoyu, or cha-no-yu, simply means hot water and tea; or, as a practice: "the way of the tea." We are familiar with it as the Japanese tea ceremony. These implements are used in the practice of tea. Tea practitioners, and cultural collectors, are proud of the arts and crafts of the tea implements they make and collect. One does not have to practice chanoyu to appreciate a display of tea implements in the house.
